Entry conditions

What should be submitted?

Each participant can send in up to three photographs.
Closing date for entries: 22 July 2005

We are looking for classic portrait photographs, close-ups or interesting detail shots. You can send in up to three photos, either of one person from different perspectives, or of three different people. Or you might like to send in a portrait together with objects or landscapes which are directly related to the person you have photographed.

As well as the photos you should write a short text (about 40 words) about the person in the photograph and their link to sustainability. Information about the person who has been photographed and technical details about the photograph should be provided separately.

How should the entry be sent in?

The photos and the stories can be uploaded directly onto the Web site via "Taking part". Even if a smaller version of a photo is uploaded, the photos should be available in higher resolution, so that if chosen they can be printed in a larger format (poster size) for the presentation of the award .

The entries can also be submitted by post on CD or as A4-format prints to the Competition Office. Please enclose a completed print out of the standard entry form.

The copyright holder confers to the Central Office of the German Council for Sustainable Development the rights of use for publication free of charge within the framework of the competition, public relations work, and for the non-commercial use within the framework of environmental education and the education for sustainable development.
